Skin Care Tips

We all like to look our best. If we had the ability to choose to have smooth, beautiful, and radiant skin then we would be. It is useless. Choosing to have a solid skincare system is certainly one of the ways to ensure that this happens.

But what is the best skincare procedure? Is there only an equal size? ... Unfortunately no. We all have different skin types and each skin type will need its own special, loving care. So the question is, how do I know what is right for me?

Whether you have dry, oily, flaky, sensitive, or acne-prone skin we will try to provide a basic, easy-to-understand guide on how to start your journey in the world of skincare products sometimes.

Any good skincare practice should include a cleanser followed by a toner, then a serum, and finally a moisturizer.

The cleaner you choose should be tailored to your individual skin needs. For oily/mixed / acne skin the best place to start would be to clean the gel or something like Elizabeth's Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser for blended skin to make sure there are not too many oils. If you have dry skin then something like cleansing cream might be better for you. StriVectin Comforting Cream Cleanser may be ready for this.

Next, we can recommend some kind of tone. There are three main stages to choosing a toner. First of all, if you have dry skin a non-alcoholic toner may be better. Alcohol can dry out your skin so get rid of it if you can. Lancôme Tonique Confort Hydrating Toner would be something we can suggest about this. If you have oily skin then you may want to choose a toner that also exfoliates. This is because of the increased risk of oil clogging your pores and possibly causing leaks. If you have oily skin then it is a little bit judgmental but you can go for any kind of cleansing but also, try to stay away from anything that involves alcohol, especially if it is a high concentration.

Next comes the serum. People may ask if it is necessary to use serum and moisturizer ... well if you want the best results of course yes. The serum is designed to give your skin benefits that reach deeper than moisture. They penetrate deep into the epidermis and provide the ability to concentrate vital nutrients on your skin. A wide variety of serums include light serums, fatty serums, anti-aging serums, hydrating serums, and fortifying serums. Depending on what you hope to achieve and what your skin needs, it is obvious what you choose.

Lastly, lubricating oils. There are many different moisturizers out there but for convenience, we have divided them into 3 main categories. Humectants, Emollients and Occlusive. In short, humectants are designed for people with dry skin primarily and help to soak in water to infuse the epidermis (upper skin layers). They do this by drawing water from the surrounding air and drawing water from the skin (a layer beneath the epidermis) to bring in more layers of skin. This is also good if you have oily skin but still want to moisturize because it will not add excess oil to your skin. Emollients are good because they replicate the action of oils found naturally on your skin. It can also help to reduce the amount of water loss (we all lose unspecified water each day, gradually through the spaces between the skin cells) by filling the gaps between the skin cells. Last on our list is Occlusives. These are designed for extremely dry skin or for people with conditions such as eczema. They form a tangible barrier between your skin and the surrounding area, which contributes to moisture and protects you from further dehydration. These are obviously much larger compared to other cosmetics.

Whatever your skincare needs we hope you will find what you need. Never be afraid to ask for help from beauty professionals, that's what they are and I'm sure they'll be happy to help you.
